Lot of changes!

So many changes have happened lately.  We've pcs'd to Florida.  It's been amazing!  I love it here!  I'm still working on my weight.  I'm not down 90lbs yet.  I didn't meet my goal, but that's ok.  I've kept the weight off so far that I have lost.  I think that's pretty important!  I'm training for an 8K, I'll try to keep up with blogging.

Cycle 3/ Phase 2/ Day 21 - Day4 of Boresha Challenge

Day 4 of the 10 day Boresha Challenge.  I'm not sure what I think about it.  The first day I only did one mug and I was crawling the ceiling.  I felt like I was on crack or something.  I don't know!  I was all over the place.  Between the first and second day I didn't lose anything.  I weigh daily because of my other program, so I would have noticed something.  The next day I did two mugs and hardly ate anything.  I'm not sure how I like this.  It does suppress my appetite, but when I feel hungry again it comes on strong and I feel sick to my stomach.  I'm also not used to this much caffeine.  So, between day two and day three I lost 1.4 lbs.  That's great, but I hardly ate anything.  Yesterday (day three) I ate very little until dinner, which I will admit was very late.  I did my two mugs and didn't eat anything.  I felt sick and yucky and I was grumpy.  I thought, "Hey, I can actually eat dinner.  I didn't have anything but cashews and water today.  I can have an actual dinner and not worry about calories!"  WRONG!!  I gained back the 1.4 lbs.  I didn't eat 1.4 lbs of food or 4800 calories yesterday.  So, I won't lose using this stuff unless I'm perfect and don't eat.  If I do eat, it can only be fruit and tiny nibbles.  This just won't work.  The hunger, grumpiness and jittery feelings just won't work for me.  Sorry Boresha!  I'm not going to spend a ton of money on your product.  Thanks for the trial!  You really should offer more than just your coffee for a trial.  Maybe another product would work for me, but I'm not going to spend over $100 to try it.

Cycle 3/ Phase 2/ Day 18 - NEW Challenge!

I have not kept up with my blog lately!  I started the 10 day Boresha challenge today.  It's a thermogenic drink that helps burn the abnormal fat.  So, it's a perfect compliment to this program.  I had the latte yesterday and it was A-MAZING! It was so delicious.  I really want to buy more, but I want to make sure this works.  It's a little pricey, but if it works it will totally be worth it!  From what I understand it's not something you'll have to continue to use.  Once you lose the weight you want to lose you stop drinking it.  We'll see!  The challenge is just the coffee and you drink 2 mugs a day.  I bought the creamer to go with it. I may have to get the sweetener too.  So, this phase has been so tough!  I have had the hardest time keeping at +2 over median.  This has never been a problem. I don't know if it's been stress or something else that's keeping me over.  Every time I do my steak and apple day I can't get below +2 over median.  My median is 172.4.  I do my steak and apple when I'm over 174.4.  My problem has been that when I do my steak and apple I can't get back to my median, I stop at 174.4.  I'm wondering if my body has locked into that weight as my median because I've pretty much stayed there from the beginning of Phase 2.  I was so upset and worried, but I'm ok with it now.  I'll get rid of those measly 2 pounds in the next cycle!  Ok!  Well, I'll try to keep this updated as I continue the new challenge.

Cycle 3/ Phase 2/ Day 2

So, yesterday Phase 2/ Day 1 did not go as well as it could.  I think I started out ok, but then we went to a Mexican restaurant.  In fact I'd have to say that it really started on Friday, which was the last day of Phase 1.  I was off the drops and supposed to be on the VLCD still.  I totally cheated though.  I bought a can of cashews in anticipation of my Phase 2 freedom.  I think R and I ate the whole can in one night.  Not. Good. So, I actually gained from that and so yesterday I was a little over what I could have been.  I didn't gain bad.  Just 0.2.  Still though, it would have been nice if that had been a loss instead.  Oh well!  So, yesterday was Mexican.  Oh man!  It was amazing!  So, today a slight gain as well.  I decided.. ENOUGH!  I'm going to go grocery shopping to stop this craziness.... and we ate mexican again on the way home.  WHAT!?!  So, I'm obviously having issues right now.  If they wouldn't use chorizo and cheese in interesting ways I wouldn't be so tempted.  Totally their fault.  The only plus is that I felt so guilty, that I went on a nice little walk with my little one and got to practice some barefoot running.  We walked a good little ways and I would run ahead and run back to my little one.  Then we would walk a little more and I'd do that again.  So, hopefully that burned 10 calories and that will help with my little slip. I may have also slipped into some more cashews.  Maybe.  I need help.  I need cashew rehab.  They are my weakness.  And chorizo..  Any food that starts with C.  Cake, cashews, chorizo, cream (ice)  They call to me.  So, I guess right now would be a good time to start my meditation again.  I guess I'm not too surprised.  I think the first couple of days of Phase 2 freedom always go this way for me, then I tame the beast.  I'm also a bit nervous though at the moment and have a lot of stress.  That could also be it.  Sigh... I'm a work in progress that's for sure!  But, the work is good.  I've learned some things I never would have learned if I hadn't started this journey.  I've met some great people too.  It's totally worth it and wouldn't change a thing.

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 41

Yesterday was the last day of the drops.  I didn't lose as much this cycle as I'd hoped.  That was disappointing.  I was barely at the minimum amount of weight loss per day.  I'm not sure what the difference was.  No matter though!  I still released 20 lbs as of today.  My total is almost 62.  So, I'm not ashamed of that at all!  I am able to shop off the rack now, which an exciting change!  It was certainly a surprise when I realized that I didn't have to go straight to the plus size part of the store.  So, BIG changes.  60+ pounds!  I can't believe it!  That's two of my child.  Just holding her now for a while she feels heavy.  I can't believe I had that much weight on my body.  Well, I don't have much more to say.  I'll post an after pic in a couple of days.

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 36

I'm almost done with this cycle!  One more week!  Then I get to start Phase 2.  It's funny because I'm on day 36, but it feels like I have only been doing it a couple of weeks.  This cycle hasn't gone quite as well as I'd have liked.  The last two cycles were much better.  I'm not sure what the difference is this time.  I've still lost though and I'm proud of that.  I'm down below what I've been in a long, long time.  My body shape is different though.  I'm much more fatty in areas.  That's ok.  I'll get it.  I'll be down more later.  I know how this works now and I won't feel impatient.  This program has been a tremendous blessing to me.  Best thing ever!  Check out the HCG program I'm doing.  This program has changed my life.  Not just physically, but  emotionally as well.

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 28

Oh man!  I got lucky today.  I stepped on the scale and found I'd lost 1.2 lbs!  I couldn't believe it.  I thought for sure I'd screwed up yesterday.  I'm wondering if I increase my protein by an ounce if that will help.  There's some doctors that run these programs that notice that their patients lose just as much on an 800 calorie diet.  So, I'm thinking I may just up my protein for a couple days and see what happens.  I'll keep everything else the same.  In other news... I'm excited to get my new salad dressing tomorrow!  I ordered 2 dressings that should be P1 friendly.  We shall see.  It will certainly make life a little less drab.  I can't believe I'm almost at day 30.  I don't feel like I've done as well this cycle as I've done in the past.  I'm still losing within the range I'm supposed to, but the last two cycles I lost at about 0.65 a day and this time it's about 0.56.  Doesn't seem like a lot, but it is.  It's about a 4 lb difference.  I'm bummed by that.  On the other hand, I am grateful for this program and that I'm still getting rid of this fat on my body.  So far I've released 54 lbs!  That's great!  I'm certainly not ashamed of that number.  I would have liked it to be higher though.  Oh well!

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 27

Today has been a pretty good day.  I wasn't happy to get on the scale.  I am still in this crazy yo-yo stall.  Two steps forward and one step back.  Tomorrow may be another step back.  I attended a friend's fundraiser at a restaurant.  I had a plan when I went in.  I brought my fruit and my carb.  I ate the smallest steak they had and asked that they use no extra oils or fats.  I hope they didn't.  I had a salad with nothing on it but tomatoes.  I did indulge in a diet soda.  My daughter had a steak with steak fries.  I saw them and I was so tempted!  I usually don't feel tempted.  This time though, I was.  I had one fry.  Then, right before we left I had another!  Arg!  So, if I'm lucky I will not have lost any weight.  If I'm not lucky I will have gained.  I'm hoping for the former.  Fingers crossed.  I'll definitely post tomorrow.

234.5/181    +0.2 from yesterday.  Boo!

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 25

Today has been a day.  The sort of day that comfort food would be very comforting.  The sort of day where tears are permanently welled in my eyes.  I can't explain the weird sadness I feel at having received such a huge blessing.  Sometimes blessings aren't the happy occasions they should be.  I just know that today is not my favorite day.  I would love to curl up on the couch with some of my favorite junk food, put on the tv and hide under the covers.  The only problem is that.... well, I'm not hungry.  I don't actually want any of that.  I've never been one of those people that doesn't eat when I'm sad.  In fact, I was sitting outside and I realized (at 2pm) that I hadn't had lunch.  I wonder what has happened to change all of this.  This program has changed me in so many more ways than just my weight.  Could it be that I'm dealing with my emotions in a different way now?  I suspect that's it.  Instead of stuffing them down with food, I've let myself feel.  That's something I've never been comfortable with.  I've always hated feeling anything.  Today I feel.  Tomorrow will better.  It always is.  So, today I'll let myself feel and know that I didn't harm myself by stuffing both my emotions down and bad food.  How do you handle your extreme emotions?  I don't have an answer for that myself, I was just curious what others might have to say.

Today was a loss day.  -1.0  Better than it has been in a week.  I lost about a pound for all of last week.  Not my best week, that's for sure.

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 24

Man!  I've hit a huge wall this week.  I'm not sure what's going on.  I usually hit a stall around this time, but this one is a little different.  I know to expect them because that's what my body does, but it's never fun.  Hopefully it will lift soon!

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 20

Well today is the halfway point for phase 1.  Day 20!  I talked to Vicki today and we talked about doing the drops until I don't lose anymore so that I can lose as much as possible.  I thought about that, but then I figured that since R is coming home not long after I start P2 (if I start when I was planning) I might as well leave it at 40 days.  It will be much easier to be on P2 when he gets home than to still be on P1.  At least on P2 I can still go out to eat with him and maybe even have a cheat.  So, 40 days it is.  Not much longer.  It seems to have flown by already.  Honestly I haven't even had to cook since I cooked before I stared the VLCD portion of this phase.  So, I think this weekend I'll do that.  I usually have a lot cooking at once.  I froze a lot this time, so that's what I'll do again.  I seem to eat the same meals over and over.  Thank goodness I'm not one that needs a lot of variety to get through this program.  It's just not something that I worry about.  I can eat the same thing for days.  Maybe that's why this program is so much easier for me than some.  I feel bad.  One of my girls had a tough time.  Her family eats out a lot and she just had a rough time with the variety.  There are tons of recipes, but I guess they just didn't do it for her.  Poo!  I really wanted to see her succeed and get where she wanted to be.  I'm so passionate about this program.  It has seriously changed my life!  It really has.  If you are at all interested in it please visit TeamDauWellness to learn more about the program.  You can now order online.  I think you can pick a coach too.  I'm not sure if you can still do that.  If so, and you want to, you can pick me as your coach.  If you read my blog from the beginning you'll see my struggles and how far I've come.  The purpose when I started this blog was to blog my journey for myself.  I hope that along the way it helps someone else.  PLEASE don't continue to beat yourself up about your weight.  I've spent years doing everything I thought possible to lose the weight.  I went to trainers and did Weight Watchers.  I did NutriSystem and Slim Fast.  I did Atkins and South Beach.  I did a completely raw diet.  None of those things helped!  Once I realized that it wasn't me.  It wasn't my self control (though that was part of it) and I learned the science behind obesity, I realized that I could do it!  It's not a gimmick and it's completely legit.  I wasn't sure at first either.  All you have to lose is weight!  With that I'll give my numbers for today.

234.5/182.4   52.1 lbs released from my body never to come back!

That's what I LOVE about this program.  It's permanent!  PERMANENT!  When I'm done with Phase 1, I add back in my normal food.  I don't count calories, fat, protein, carbs.. anything.  I don't measure out portions or weigh my food. (In phase 1 yes, but that's a different story that I can explain later.)  I eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full.  I may get the biggest fattiest burger and fries, but I only eat until I'm not hungry anymore.  I pack it up and take it home.  Later, I may eat a little more.  The thing is, our bodies should be able to regulate our weight according to input and output, but for those of us that are obese, it doesn't always work that way.  The Hcg reprograms that part of your brain and you can go back to how your body should have been functioning in the first place.  You can eat the junk, but I bet you won't want to.

No matter how much you have to lose this program WILL work for you.  Listen, I don't get anything from directing you to the site.  I am not paid by them or anything.  I just believe in this program.  Let it work for you!

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 18

This cycle P1 has had very little stalling.  I guess today could be considered a stall.  I gained 0.2 today.  This was the first time that it didn't bother me though.  The past two cycles I would be upset all day at this. I really was.  This time is much better.  I know what to expect and I know how it will end.  I'll still get rid of the weight and it will be ok.  I've already come so far.  It's unbelievable.  I thought there was no way I could get rid of the weight.  I actually considered surgery.  I'm so glad I found TeamDauWellness.  It's been an amazing journey.  If you think this is a gimmick I encourage you to read my blog from the beginning.  It hasn't always been easy, but it's worked.  I've worried about it and had my doubts, but not anymore.  Here's todays number

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 16

Today is sort of a big day for me.  Today marks the 50lb mark!  I wanted to be much closer to my 90 by now.  I'm realizing now that getting this weight off of me and keeping it off is a much better goal and accomplishment.  I've been able to keep it off and eating all the same foods I ate before.  I make much better choices now, but even when I don't my habits have changed some.  I still fall into my old habits of wanting to eat everything I see because I'm scared I'll never be able to taste it.  I'm  not sure where those fears came from, but I'm working on them.  I'm just a work in progress all together.  The issue I'm working on right now is my self-image.  It's really hard for me to look at myself naked in the mirror.  I have a really hard time with that.  I know that I've lost weight and I can see it, but there are parts of my body that I'm still uncomfortable with.  Some have to do with having a baby and some just from years of being obese.  Hopefully I can change those.  Hopefully the things I can't I can become ok with.  Or maybe, just maybe my husband will let me get a little nip and tuck.  Maybe.   LOL :-)  We'll see about that one.  So, here are today's numbers.

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 15

I've been very lazy this cycle.  I haven't felt the need to update every day.  One thing I've noticed about this cycle is that I'm losing at a slower rate than the last two.  I guess I shouldn't bee too surprised.  I have less to lose now than I did.  My rate of loss the last two cycle were about 0.65 lbs a day.  Now it's about 0.53.  That's ok and it's still right on with what it should be.  I wish I could be one of those that loses 1lb a day though.  Oh well!  I'm still doing well, and keeping it off.  I had a 2 month P3 and I kept it off the entire time.  I think I did have a steak&apple day once.  I had more of them in P2 than P3.  Anyway..  I'm going to get off here now.  Here's my current stats.

234.5/185   -49.5 since Feb with a 2 month break.  (Actually less though, because each cycle is only 23-40 days.  My first was 23, the second 40 and I'm on day 15 of this one.  So, 78 days = 11weeks.  So a little less than 3 months is how much time I lost the 49.5 lbs.  In between the loss phases are phases where you maintain.)

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 9

This phase is going well.  I can't believe how much easier it is this time!  Each cycle is easier than the last.  Last night I set up two crockpots and when I got up this morning I had a ton of food for the next week.  I need to do some chicken that way.  I did mostly beef.  Anyway..  My weight loss is steady and I'm excited that I'm below the 190 mark!  It's been a while.  I look at my body and I still don't like it right now, but I'm not sure if that's because my body isn't where I want it or if my eyes still have my old body burned into them.  Who knows..  I'm a work in progress emotionally and that's ok.  One day I will be content with my body and the person I am.  I'm still reading The Voice of Knowledge.  It's amazing!  I just need to remember what I read and that will probably help me during the day.  I should start meditating again too.  I stopped when I was traveling so much.  Well, not much more to report.  Just wanted to check in.

Here's my weight

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 6

I thought this cycle was going to be tough.  I thought I'd have a tough time getting started and that I would be hungry.  This has been the easiest one so far.  I still have a few feelings of hunger, and if I wasn't on this phase I would eat breakfast.  I can wait though, so that's not an issue.  We don't wake up super early, so my wait for lunch isn't long.  I'm going to try a couple of new condiments this time around.  I can use mustard, so that's good.  It's my favorite.  I'm going to make some ketchup and see how it tastes.  I have a couple of recipes for it.  Other than that... this cycle has started out well.  I've lost all of my load day weight.  Hopefully I'll lose a bit more this week.  I'm doing a Biggest Loser Challenge with some friends.  I'd like to get a jump on them this week.  If not, it's no big deal I'll catch up with them and win it all!  LOL!  Yay!  Here are today's numbers:

Cycle 3/ Phase 1/ Day 3 (almost 4)

I just started a new cycle and I'm a little apprehensive about it.  This is the last cycle before my husband gets home, so I really want to do the best I can.  I only did 3 load days this time.  I know I loaded well, but I'm still a little nervous.  I know it will be fine when I get into my routine.  I guess after about 2 months of Phase 3 I've sort of forgotten how it works.  Well, not really.  I need to get my meal plan going.  I really just eat the same things while I'm doing it.  Maybe I'll add some new recipes this time.  P1 (Phase 1.  I've decided I'm tired of typing out Phase all the time)  will end right before my husband gets home, so I'll be in P2 when he gets home.  That will be a good thing.  At least I'll be able to go out and eat with him.  It's so much easier to eat out in P2 than P1.  I just wanted to add that even though I was on P3 for 2 months I maintained my weight pretty easily.  I ate what I wanted when I wanted.  I could have made better choices for sure, but I did well.  It's not an experience I've ever had with weight loss programs.  No calorie counting or anything.  So, this is the program for me.  It works!  Not just the weight loss part of it, but the maintenance after.  Every other diet I've done resulted in weight loss, but if I stopped I'd gain right back plus some.  Frustrating!  So, I'm thrilled!  I'm not going back that's for sure.  Anyway... just wanted to update since I haven't that last phase.  So here are my stats.

Last day of Cycle 2/ Phase 1 192.4 , Last day of Phase 3 192.8

I wasn't able to weigh today, but I know I gained because I was loading.  I'll weigh tomorrow of course, so we'll know exactly how much I gained.  OK!  See you tomorrow!

Holy Smokes! Cycle 2/Phase 3/Day 31

I'm still on Cycle 2!  I'm so ready for this cycle to be over and start Cycle 3.  I have so much craziness going on right now though, that to start right at this moment would be sabotage.  I went to Disney last week and did very well.  One Steak and Apple day, but I"m not sure if it was or not.  I was using a different scale so I'm not sure.  Anyway... I'm back on mine now and I'm doing ok.  I had pizza tonight though, so we'll see.  I'm leaving in about a week to go to my in-laws for a couple of weeks.  So, lots of traveling.  Poor little R is tired and starting to get sick.  I'm glad it's now and not when we're traveling.  I just wanted to check in and write a quick note.

+0.2 median.  Not too bad!  This is definitely a hard phase.  Maintaining is harder than losing!

Cycle 2/ Phase 3/ Day 14

I forget to post when I'm in P3.  I still struggle, but my struggles are different.  I've also been pretty busy lately.  I have a long way to go with P3.  I'm not looking forward to it, because I'm just ready to lose all the weight, but that's ok.  I'd rather start and do it well, than to try to start it with all the traveling we're going to be doing.  I went for a ride today on the bike.  That was really nice, and man it's so much easier with 43 lbs off of my body.  I want to get good at my roller blades too.  I also want to start hiking.  So, I have so much I want to do now.  I just want to be active!  It's been a while since I've felt that way.  My biggest fear is that R isn't going to grow up playing outside as much as I did.  She needs to be able to just go and play.  It's a shame that I can't just let her play outside without me being there.  Anyway... I have found myself doing a lot of emotional eating.  Stress eating or boredom eating.  I'm surprised I haven't had to do a Steak and Apple day, but if I keep it up I will.  So, today I made the decision to make good decisions for today.  It's gone pretty well so far.  A little slip during lunch, but tomorrow will be better.  Well, I guess I get off here. I just wanted to write a little something.  If you're new to my blog then check out these two sites that explain what I'm doing.  I've lost 43lbs since Feb 26.  I have TeamDau Wellness to thank for it.  If you have questions that you'd like to ask, you can go here and post.  It's a new forum I just started.  You can always visit us on our Facebook group too.  Well, I hope that if you're new to my blog and interested in losing weight, you'll check us out.  The program is amazing, but the support is what makes it the best program I've ever used.  I've done them all!  Weight Watchers (3x,) Atkins, Nutrisystem, trainers, nutritionists, doctors, metformin for higher insulin, grapefruit diet.... what else..  6 weeks body makeover.  The problem isn't that they don't work.  The problem is that they aren't permanent.  I'm looking for permanent results, not instant.  I don't want to lose a ton of weight only to gain it back as soon as I'm off the program.  So, that's why I'm doing this one.  These are my before and afters so far.  I say so far because I'm still a work in progress.  I have more I'd like to lose and that I WILL lose.  I'm not worried anymore.  This program works!  Best of all... It's PERMANENT!!!  I haven't had any trouble with gaining back weight.  I eat what I want and I don't count calories.  I don't deny myself anything.  I'm amazed at the amount I'm able to eat too!  In the past no matter what I ate or how well I ate, I would still gain!  I'm proud to say that I'm a LOSER!  You can be one too.  Just check out TeamDau Wellness and tell them I sent you!

Cycle 2/Phase 3/ Day 7

It's been a while since I've been able to post.  I've been super busy building a forum for TeamDau Wellness.  It needs some tweaking, but I'm actually pretty excited about it!  I hope that it gets used a lot.  I think it could be such a great tool for support and bonding.  So, I'm on day 7 of P3.  I would like to be better at this phase.  I know that a lot of it is emotional.  So, that's what I need to work on.  Anyway... I don't have much to say.  I'm about 0.8 over median, which isn't too bad I suppose, but I would like to be under.  No worries though!  I'm doing ok.  So.... I hope that if you're reading this you'll consider joining our group.  It's been an amazing journey!  I'm 43 lbs lighter than I was Feb 26th!  My body is starting to regulate itself again.  That's huge for me!  Amazing!  Please join and I promise it will change your life.  Start Today!
